  • Only cancer program in three counties ( Cumberland , Salem and Gloucester ) designated as a Community Hospital Comprehensive Cancer Program by the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer.
     
  • Reference date for SJH Cancer Registry is January 1, 1982.  Four multidisciplinary cancer conferences/case review meetings held each month.  National medical guidelines reviewed and utilized at each meeting.
     
  • Is a member of the Association of Community Cancer Centers (ACCC). South Jersey Healthcare (SJH) medical staff member, Robert Frelick, MD, FACP, medical oncologist, is a founding member of ACCC.
     
  • South Jersey Healthcare Regional Cancer Center (SJHRCC) became a part of the Fox Chase Cancer Center Network in 1995
     
  • A clinical trials program began in 1996.  We have a Federal Wide Assurance (FWA) authorizing us to conduct NCI/NIH research.
