The SJH Pulmonary Rehabilitation professional team is committed to helping you return to your highest functional performance possible. Using state-of-the art equipment and techniques, our highly-skilled, multi disciplinary team will work with you and your physician to develop a customized rehabilitation plan. The staff will help you obtain your optimal level of wellness in a safe and highly-supervised setting. This program is a physician prescribed program and a recent Pulmonary Function Test (PFT) is required upon entry.

Pulmonary Rehabilitation can benefit patients with asthma, COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease), bronchitis, emphysema, bronchiectasis, sarcoidosis and lung cancer. People who have recently had lung surgery can also benefit from this program including, but not limited to pre & post lung transplant, post lung volume reduction surgery and other lung surgeries. Our rehabilitation program includes a strong educational component that emphasizes strengthening & conditioning, breathing retraining & energy conservation to reduce shortness of breath and ultimately improve ones quality of life and ability to perform activities of daily living to maintain independence.

Beyond Pulmonary Rehab
Many graduates join our Heart & Lung Support Group meetings on the third Thrusday of February, April, June, August, October & December at our Regional Medical Center 4th floor

As a graduate of our Pulmonary Rehabilitation program you may choose to benefit from an exercise maintenance program offered by SJH Fitness Connection
How to join the program:

• Step 1: Visit the SJH Fitness Connection located on Sherman Ave. and Orchard Road, across from Regional Medical Center in Vineland. Please call ahead and ask for Bruce Wilson, Director, SJH Fitness Connection or Jeff Baker for a tour and membership information. It is advised that you take a facility tour around the same time you chose to exercise. As a graduate of our Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation program you will receive a special discounted rate.
• Step 2: Receive your exercise guidelines and instructions from the Cardiopulmonary Rehab staff upon your graduation.
• Step 3: Schedule an orientation session at the Fitness Connection by calling (856) 696-3924.
  The Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation staff can also help schedule your orientation session.
• Step 4: Exercise regularly to achieve a total of 150 minutes of aerobic training per week and resistance training three to four times per week. Meet new people and stay healthy at the same time.
