Visitation Guidelines

For the safety and comfort of our patients, please limit visitors to two at bedside.
Note: Certain conditions might result in further restrictions on visitation. Anyone with a respiratory illness, skin rash or other infectious condition should not visit. Extended visiting hours are permitted for the parents/ guardians of children who are in the hospital. Members of the clergy are permitted to visit patients at all times. All visitors are reminded to abide by the following rules to help ensure the safety and comfort of all of our patients:

  • All visitors should enter the hospital through the front lobby.

  • Each visitor must get a pass at the information desk and return it to the same desk before leaving.

  • In some cases, it might be beneficial for a family member or caregiver to stay with a patient and assist with his or her care throughout the hospital stay.

  • If you believe this situation applies to you, please discuss it with a member of the nursing staff.

  • No more than two visitors (and a caregiver, if applicable) may visit at one time.

  • Children must be 12 or older to visit. Brothers and sisters under 12 may visit the Mother/Baby (postpartum) section of MaternityCare during general visiting hours. Children who are not visiting a patient must remain in the hospital lobby with a responsible adult. In certain situations, younger children may be given permission to visit by the nurse manager or nursing supervisor.

  • People with colds, flu-like symptoms or other communicable diseases should not visit.

  • Visitors should leave promptly at the end of visiting hours.

  • If you believe that unusual circumstances exist, contact your nurse about the possibility of making other arrangements for visitors to see you.
