Growing to meet community needs - In recent years, South Jersey Healthcare’s Elmer Hospital has undergone a remarkable transformation. Since January of 2000, we have opened a new state-of-the-art intensive care unit; a modern surgical services department; a new child/adolescent intensive outpatient mental health unit; and a new MaternityCare Center. Our lobby and registration area have also been completely redesigned to ensure your comfort, convenience and privacy.

Members of the SJH Medical Staff, representing more than 40 specialties and subspecialties, provide a wide range of medical and surgical services in our friendly, yet state-of-the-art, SJH Elmer Hospital.
Emergency Services - SJH Elmer Hospital Opens New and Expanded Emergency Room
To meet the increasing demand for emergency services in our region, South Jersey Healthcare Elmer Hospital formally opened its expanded and renovated Emergency Department on September 29, 2008. The new ER features 16 private patient bays equipped with state-of-the-art equipment at a cost of $4.6 million. The renovated unit has more than doubled in size from 4,975 to more than 10,000 square feet.
