Comprehensive Imaging Services

SJH’s patient-focused technologists produce high-quality images which provide your physicians with vital information and facilitate an accurate diagnosis. Our radiologists deliver reports quickly with a state-of-the-art speech recognition reporting system. Services are available at SJH Regional Medical Center , SJH Elmer Hospital and SJH Bridgeton Health Center .

SJH Radiology offers a variety of specialized studies and interventional procedures such as digital angiography, to produce high quality images with less radiation; uterine artery embolization; and dialysis shunt studies. Our new, state-of-the-art cardiac catheterization lab at the Regional Medical Center produces high-quality diagnostics for low-risk cardiac patients. Services are available at SJH Regional Medical Center and SJH Elmer Hospital .

SJH’s certified mammography staff provide warm, caring and private service that is accredited by the American College of Radiology. SJH radiologists and surgeons work together to provide stereotactic biopsies and needle localizations to assist your physicians in localizing a mass or a suspicious calcification. Our radiologists also use a Computer Aided Detection (CAD) system, which electronically highlights suspicious areas. Services are available at SJH Regional Medical Center and SJH Elmer Hospital .

SJH Radiology provides ultrasound services and vascular studies that utilize the latest technologies to produce clearer images for our patients. Services are available at SJH Regional Medical Center , SJH Elmer Hospital and SJH Bridgeton Health Center .

At the Regional Medical Center , our patient-focused technologists use the latest 16-slice CT scanner for faster, higher-resolution scans, which can be reconstructed in multiple planes for interpretation by the radiologist. CT angiography is also available. CT services are available at SJH Regional Medical Center, SJH Elmer Hospital and SJH Bridgeton Health Center .

Our new, hospital-based MRI unit is available for inpatients and outpatients. It is one of only two high performance (1.5 TESLA) units in the county producing high-quality images to better diagnose your condition. Services are available at the SJH Regional Medical Center .

The Nuclear Medicine section is a full service diagnostic and therapeutic department using all new, state-of-the-art equipment including I-131 therapy for hyperthyroidism. Services are available at SJH Regional Medical Center and SJH Elmer Hospital .

DEXA scan bone density tests are available at SJH Elmer Hospital and SJH Regional Medical Center for detecting osteoporosis and monitoring treatment.

PACS- Digital Imaging Physicians at SJH’s Regional Medical Center can view images instantly in the hospital or on a computer in their own office using the most modern Picture Archiving Communications System (PACS) available.
