South Jersey Healthcare is a charitable nonprofit health care organization in which hospitals and doctors work together to provide quality care. SJH has been serving the citizens of Southern New Jersey for 15 years, but traces its roots to 1898 when the original Bridgeton Hospital opened its doors.
Hospital Services
Comprehensive hospital services are provided at both SJH Elmer Hospital and the SJH Regional Medical Center, a 262-bed, state-of-the art hospital located in Vineland. A satellite emergency department located at the SJH Bridgeton Health Center serves patients 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Outpatient Services
Both the SJH Regional Medical Center and the SJH Elmer Hospital offer outpatient services such as outpatient radiology, lab and physical therapy services. Some outpatient services are also available at the health centers in Bridgeton and Vineland.
Cancer Services
Frank and Edith Scarpa Regional Cancer Pavilion, Vineland the region's leading cancer institute and member of the Fox Chase Network. A select group of hospitals, in partnership with Fox Chase Cancer Center Partner, offer the latest in cancer prevention, detection and treatment. Starting in December 2004, the Regional Cancer Center will have brand new, state-of-the-art facility connected with the SJH Regional Medical Center.
Wellness Services
The SJH Fitness Connection and Wellness Center are full service wellness facilities with state-of-the-art equipment and professional staff.
Women's and Children's Health Services
- Hospital-based maternity services are offered at both SJH MaternityCare at Elmer Hospital and SJH Regional Medical Center. SJH provides maternal/newborn care committed to clinical excellence, family involvement, and the safety and comfort of mothers and babies. Both facilities provide first-class care in a comfortable setting.
- Affiliations with Children?s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) and Our Lady of Lourdes Medical Center resulting in pediatric cardiologists from CHOP and neonatologists and perinatologists from Our Lady Of Lourdes practicing at SJH facilities.
- SJH Women's Centers, a network of women's centers providing prenatal care to Medicaid populations.
Orthopedic Services
SJH JointCare Center, a joint replacement center of excellence, featuring some of the area?s most qualified orthopedic specialists.
Sleep Health Services
Two SJH SleepCare Centers providing the latest in diagnosis and treatment of sleep disorders.
Mental Health Services
Comprehensive inpatient care, partial care (intensive outpatient therapy and treatment) and outpatient counseling for adults, adolescents and children.
Community Services
- SJH HomeCare provides a full range of health care and supportive services in the home.
- SJH HospiceCare provides comprehensive home care for patients and their families during the final states of any disease.
- SJH Adult Day Programs provide a safe, supervised and caring environment for disabled and elderly adults who might otherwise be homebound.
- SJH Help Services help area residents with home and personal chores.
- SJH Lifeline Services provides a reliable call button service.

CHCI is an independent , non-profit community based organization which works closely with SJH to provide high quality services to the underinsured and uninsured living in the Cumberland County.
Occupational Health Services
SJH Occupational Health focuses on the treatment, prevention and management of workplace injury. Physical exams, diagnostic screenings, drug testing and other services also are provided.
Other Specialty Services
- IMPACT, offering childcare services with an Advanced Day Care and Teen Parent Center
- SJH Child Development Center/Early Intervention Program?The Early Intervention Program provides services to families of infants and toddlers displaying developmental delays. The Child Development Center provides consultative and treatment services to children and young adults with special needs. Services include physical, occupational and speech therapy, and psychology.
