If you are interested in a career filled with challenges, rewards and adventure, consider a career in medicine or healthcare. Not only are you helping others, but you’re also enriching your own life. Not sure? Find out more by joining Medical Explorers and learn about careers in healthcare and medicine.
Medical Explorers is open to high school students that are interested in pursuing a career in medicine or healthcare or want to learn more about what the profession has to offer. The program gives students the chance to learn about classes you should take in high school and what training or education you will need after high school. You have the advantage of learning firsthand about medical and health careers from professionals practicing in their field.

Meetings are held once a month at South Jersey Healthcare’s Regional Medical Center and allow students an opportunity to interact with physicians, nurses and other healthcare professionals. Students learn about various careers through hands on experience, activities, tours and presentations given by experts in the field.
Our classes include:
- A Night in the Operating Room
- The ER Experience
- Hospital Pharmacy System
- Modern Imaging Technology
- Community Emergency Services
- Managing a Hospital System
- Careers in Nursing
- Sports Medicine
- Tour of a Medical School
